Wearing: Peplum top from Beginning Boutique, sister's pencil skirt, MAC lipstick, American Apparel nailpolish & Sportsgirl necklace
I don't usually write a lot about my personal life on here, but three months ago I started my first full-time job since I graduated from uni and to this day I am still having troubles adjusting to the huge lifestyle change. I must admit it's been hugely exhausting keeping up with my new job, playing sport three nights a week, maintaining two blogs and trying to have a social life. Don't get me wrong- I am very fortunate and lucky to have my media job as it's very hard obtaining a job in the Advertising industry in Brisbane, but as a night owl, all I want to do is sleeeeeep haha.
So back to fashion- since I've started working, I now try to buy clothes appropriate for work as well which is why I had to have this peplum top from BB. I pretty much get to wear whatever I want to work (I even wore my PJ's to work one day because my boss allowed it), so I'm not that restricted. This makes me hugely happy because my casual everyday clothes don't have to collect dust! This winter my harem pants and huge oversized jumpers are definitely coming out in the office.

God girl how do you keep up? It all sounds very full on. As for buying clothes for play and work, I attempt to do the same, it always helps when your clothes can do double duty. The peplum top looks lovely by the way!

Sigh, my working clothes are so boring. I can't wear anything more than 2 inches above the knee. I love your peplum top. It's so cute for an fun office outfit.

ReplyDeleteI'm a night owl myself and have been working full time for almost 3 years now... it gets easier after the second year haha. But staying up until 12am every night might be hindering my progress.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great dress for work & play... Congrats on the new(ish) job, and you will learn to juggle... sort of.. eventually! I like to think I have it figured out some days and others I just wing it!

Hi honey,
ReplyDeleteIs it also your first fulltime job? I know a little bit how you feel, but besides school I always worked too. Now I have a fulltime job. And yes, it's sometimes difficult to get used to the changes but the money makes a lot of things good! :) It just takes some time to fit in, to adjust. Just give it some time and take some time to relax too! :)
And I love your top btw :)

Peplums are such a new cute shape. they are so stylish when you pair it up with bright jeans and a belt. I like this option of wearing a miniskirt as well. the all-black colour of the outfit + bright red lipstick is so good Francesca
